Web (desktop):
- Log in to Fidelity.com.
- Go to Accounts & Trade and click Portfolio.
- Select the account you want to check.
- Click Performance.
- Set the timeframe to Life of Data.
- Click Show Details.
- Look for Deposits to see your total contributions.
Mobile (App):
- Open the Fidelity app.
- Log in.
- Select the account you want to check.
- Tap Activity.
- Tap Filter.
- Select the date range.
- Under Transaction Type, select All Deposits.
- Tap Apply.
- Review the deposits listed.
- Add the deposits together to get your total contributions.
How to See Contributions by Tax Year
Fidelity reports IRA contributions by tax year, including contributions made for a prior tax year during the following year’s contribution period.
- Log in to the Fidelity app.
- Select your IRA.
- Tap Activity.
- Tap Filter.
- Select the date range for the tax year.
- Select Contributions/Deposits.
- Tap Apply.
- Review the contributions for that year.
- Repeat for each tax year you want to check.
- For the official tax-year total, check Form 5498 under Tax Forms.
Form 5498 provides the official annual record of your reported IRA contributions.
The date the contribution was made may differ from the date it was deposited or processed. For the final record, check your Form 5498 along with your check, bank, or payroll records.

If you have a Fidelity Retail (Self-Employed) 401(k), tracking contributions is generally similar to tracking an IRA.

Check your Form 5498 under Accounts & Trade > Tax Forms, which shows your total IRA contributions for the tax year. You can also review your account statements for a month-by-month breakdown.
On NetBenefits, go to Accounts & Benefits > Manage Contributions > Summary to see your year-to-date employee contributions and employer match.

Check that you’re viewing the correct account and date range, and make sure the contribution has cleared. If it still doesn’t appear, contact Fidelity for help.
